Galerie Michael Werner returns to Art Basel with a presentation that reflects the gallery’s long-standing commitment to artists who have redefined the possibilities of modern art across generations. Bringing together works by Paul Cézanne, André Derain, Francis Picabia, Jean Dubuffet, Bernard Réquichot, Eugène Leroy, Joseph Beuys, Georg Baselitz, Markus Lüpertz, A.R. Penck, Jörg Immendorff, Per Kirkeby, Sigmar Polke, James Lee Byars, Don Van Vliet, and Maki Na Kamura, the selection spans more than a century of artistic practice, from the foundations of modernism to the present day.
